According to Dr. Lee, women are very grateful to have their menstrual "lived experiences" "validated." And so on. Thus, a program that should be an investigation into v@¢¢in€ safety instead gets (billed) as a vehicle for women's empowerment. You go, v@××€d grrrrlls!!
In spite of all of these ideological contortions, we do get some useful information: Dr. Lee reveals that m€n$truation was NOT investigated during the clinical trail process for these v@©©in€$, and that women who attempted to report these effe¢ts were DISMISSED. Menst®u@l changes are therefore not listed as a sid€ eff€ct in the official v@©©in€ ins€rt literature. And women who recently tried to report these effects to the CDC's V@€RS website have been "stuck in pending status for weeks."
Still, the main agenda seems to be to repeatedly reassure listeners that whatever is happening is normal, that it is obviously temporary, and that there are no long term effects. As you listen to the podcast you can clearly hear that everything in it was reverse engineered with this goal in mind. The program host closes with the grave question, "Doctor, are you worried that by discussing all of this, you could contribute to v@¢¢in€ hesit@n¢y?" As if thinking critically about what you put in your body is categorically wrong—we wouldn't want to say anything to encourage that type of thing!
The truth remains, however, that it is impossible for anyone to say with certainty that ANY effect of these $h0ts is "temporary" or "very short term," because of the very brief study period—less than a year of development and testing, a process that usually takes 4 or 5 years in a new d®ug and 7 years of more for a novel v@©©in€. These v@©©in€$ have only been in use for a few months. It is mind-boggling that any doct⁰r would get on the radio and make such statements. They have NO idea what the l⁰ng-term effects are. NO ONE does.
Near the end of the podcast, Dr. Lee informs us that they are going to take all of these survey responses and start doing some more specific, focused research on the immun€ response in women to the v@©©in€$.
